APM Spine & Sports has been providing comprehensive treatment of pain for over 15 years in the Southeastern Virginia region. Established in 1990 by Dr. Lisa Barr, APM has grown into a premier practice providing comprehensive interventional pain medicine and rehabilitation. Our practice now includes:
- Six Board Certified Physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation – supported by a highly trained staff of Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, Physical Therapists, Research Investigators and Technicians- who are dedicated in providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary interventional approach to pain management.

- Two fully-equipped state-of-the-art fluoroscopy suites
- A state-of-the-art musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment of challenging soft tissue and joint problems

The ultimate goal of treatment is to reduce or alleviate pain through education, hands on therapies, appropriate injection therapies using cutting edge technologies, coordinated rehabilitation and exercise therapies, while avoiding the use of potentially addictive medications. We achieve this by combining the most up to date traditional and alternative therapies to achieve maximal outcomes.
